Hold on to your innocence for as long as you can

Sure, you didn’t plan to get in that girls pants

or drink so much that you can hardly stand

and sometimes we yearn to go back to the past

to learn a lesson that will hopefully curve

your ever- changing actions, words, and thoughts

Damn, I’ve got it bad.

So I’ve gained some confidence over the last few months. I’m not exactly sure where it came from, but I hope it stays. Although it’s been nice to have, I feel as though it came at an inconvenient time…

So much has occurred in my life in the past few months, yet very few things have changed. It’s summer time, so I have time to look at Tumblr and whatnot. I’ve kind of missed it.

Hmm…

I’ve had some time to reflect over the past few days. I’ve always been told self reflection is healthy for you, but I didn’t really pay too much attention or I thought I did enough of it. Well, I realized that I haven’t. Now, it is the beginning of a new year; a common time for resolutions to be made. No, I do not believe that you’re a brand new person just because it’s a new year. However, I do think that one should take the opportunity to do something productive in their life and actually stick to it.

Many people often make a resolution to eat healthier or start going to the gym. That’s all nice and dandy, but I feel like they’re missing the bigger picture. People often don’t realize why they’re making this promise to themselves, leading to a broken resolution. It’s much deeper than that. Is it because they lack self-confidence? Is it because they want to be able to do more? Questions like the aforementioned are often left unanswered.

Well, I decided to make a few resolutions. I know I won’t be able to master them all at the same time, but I will conquer them eventually. I promise myself that.

My story doesn’t end here, it’s not even halfway through. I was just hoping that you would be in a chapter or two. But I’ve come to accept that you’re on a different page and being in your life hasn’t taken center stage. It may never happen or what if it does? Will things go back to the way it was? The butterflies, the mystery, it was so unclear. When you make a decision, I’ll be waiting here. But not for long because life does not slow down. So think quickly if you can while I’m still around.
